Kiosk Consumer Names

The Kiosk Consumer Names setting controls how consumer names are displayed inside the kiosk view on the shared tablet.

The goal of this setting is to keep names as short and readable as possible, while still making sure that consumers can be clearly distinguished.

This setting only affects the kiosk and does not change how names appear in admin or management views.

Available Display Options

First Name Only

Shows only the consumer’s first name.

  • Keeps the kiosk interface clean and easy to scan
  • If two consumers share the same first name, initials are added automatically
  • If the last name initials are also identical, the full name is shown to avoid ambiguity

This option provides the shortest possible names while still remaining unambiguous.

First Name + Initial

Shows the first name plus the first letter of the last name.

  • Reduces name length compared to full names
  • Makes it easier to distinguish consumers with similar first names

Full Name

Shows the full first and last name.

  • Provides maximum clarity
  • Useful for small teams or cases where name similarity is common
