Using Tapper on Your Devices
Tapper is a web-based app and can be used on different devices, depending on how your team or collective prefers to work. You can use Tapper on a shared tablet, on personal phones, or both at the same time.
Using Tapper on a Shared Tablet (Recommended Setup)
Tapper works especially well when used on a shared tablet that is permanently placed in your space, for example mounted to the wall next to the fridge or pantry.
Why a Shared Tablet Works So Well
- Tapper is always available where products are taken
- Booking a drink or snack takes only a few taps
- No need for personal devices or logins during daily use
- Encourages consistent and immediate booking
This setup closely mirrors a physical tally sheet, but with the benefits of automatic tracking.
To use Tapper on a tablet, simply open:

Using Kiosk Apps for a One-Tap Experience
To make the shared tablet experience even smoother, you can use a third-party kiosk app.
These apps allow you to:
- Automatically open Tapper when the tablet wakes up
- Lock the tablet to Tapper only
- Prevent accidental exits or use of other apps
This turns the tablet into a true single-purpose device.
Using Tapper on Personal Phones
Tapper can also be used directly on personal phones. This is ideal if:
- You don’t want to install or mount a shared tablet
- Your team prefers using their own devices
Each member can open Tapper in their browser at:
https://tapper.team/home
Quick Access with QR Codes
To make mobile access easy, you can print a QR code that links to:
When users scan the QR code, they are taken directly to Tapper and can start booking purchases immediately.
This works especially well when placing the QR code:
- On the fridge
- Near the pantry
- Next to top-up instructions or a cash box

Using Both at the Same Time
You can freely combine both approaches:
- A shared tablet for fast, central booking
- Personal phones for convenience and flexibility
Tapper supports both simultaneously, allowing you to adapt the setup to how your collective actually works.
Tapper is designed to be available exactly where and when products are taken—simple, flexible, and ready for real-world shared spaces.
